Full replacement can be the best option compared to retro fitting an insert window or door when you want to completely remove the old item. This may be because the old timber window or door is rotten or you wish to sit the door down lower to the floor. Other reasons are the timber jamb liner around existing items may look rough and you simply want the new joinery to look tidy.
Full replacement of the joinery also allows for new flashings to be easily added unlike an insert window which relies on the water proofing of the existing timber window.
Some of our products are only available in full replacement for example thermally broken bifold windows and doors.
Home owners may choose to do a combination of full replacement and inserts, this is very normal and does not look out of place. Usually in these cases inserts are used for the windows.
